How Geocaching Works
A 9 stage multi cache that starts in the Heart of Wellington and finishes somewhere in Auckland.
The cache has 8 "virtual" waypoints (Road Blocks) along the main route north. The path is basically straight up SH 1, with the odd small Detour on the way, in good Amazing Race style of course!

Each waypoint may have a slightly different way of working out the Cords for the next waypoint, so you will have to pay attention.
Each waypoint is at a point of interest, some include abit of history to, so it will be an enjoyable experience.
Ok, so on with the Cache.
The Start:
At the cache cords you will find yourself near a busy hive of activity. Looking above you, you will see two sets of dates. Its these dates you need to workout WP2.
Use the dates on your left for the South cords, and the dates on your right for the East cords.
South: Add the 2 dates on your left and minus 3738. S 40° 58.0**
East: Add the 2 dates on your right and minus 3284. E 174° 58.***
S 40° **.*** E 174° 58.***
Waypoint 2:
At WP2 you will find a Plaque. Use this to work out the cords for WP3.
South: The amount of killed in the Pacific Campaign minus 2348 = S 40° 28.***
East: The amount of wounded in the Pacific Campaign minus 8748 = E 175° 16.***

Waypoint 3:
At WP3 you will find another plaque. Use this to work out the cords for WP4.
South: Built Date x 7 + 464 = S 40° **.***
East: Demolished Date x 17 + 498 = E 175° **.***

Waypoint 4:
At WP4 you will find another plaque. Use this to work out the cords for WP5.
Use the year date that you see here to do the sums.
South: 20 X ( year date) + 367 = S 39° **.***
East: 24 X ( year date ) - 452 = E 175° **.***

Waypoint 5:
At WP5 you will find a pile of stones.. Use this to work out the cords for WP6.
Use the year date that you see here to do the sums.
South: 21 X ( year date) + 857 = S 38° **.***
East: 3 X ( year date ) + 257 = E 176° 0*.***

Waypoint 6:
Here you will find a plaque - use it to work out Waypoint 7.
South: The wifes birth year x 30 + 1320 = **.***
East: The Husbands birth year x 24 - 337 = **.***

Waypoint 7:
Here you will find some interesting characters, use the number on the tag on one of there ears to work out the next pitstop.
The # on tag X 16 + 817 = **.***
The # on tag X 4 + 1621 = 0*.***

Waypoint 8:
Here you will find A Big Sign. Convert the letters on the sign to numbers, using the keypad of a phone. This is the last waypoint. This leads you to GZ, and the logbook etc.
The cache is located at S 36 AB.CDE E 174 FG.HIJ
A = 10th letter - Last Letter + 2
B = 12th Letter
C = Second to last letter + 1
D = Last Letter + 15 - 17
E = 6th Letter
F = 10th letter
G = 8th letter + 2
H = 4th letter - 2
I = 9th letter
J = 6th Letter
