Geocache Description:

The Parish Church of St Mary and St Nicholas

The Parish church is the oldest and finest building in Leatherhead. It was begun in the 11th century and was completed with the tower about1500, although there is a Victorian addition to the north transept. The dedication to St Mary and St Nicholas is unusually, there are many features inside the church and a large churchyard

The coordinate are for the general church area. There is a an inscription right across the top of the main church doors which has a year at the end (you want the last 10 characters) these need to de translated to ABCD.

The cache is about 5 minutes walk away to prevent a pre-emptive strike by cache u nutter and can be found at.

N 51.17.(A+D) (C-B+D) (B) W 00.19. (B-A) (D) (C)

Once you have got you final coordinate you will need to walk south for a couple of minutes and find the path to the cache. The coordinates may not be brilliant despite many checks so the clue will help, but I would be obliged if the first few finders could let me know the coordinates you had at the cache location.

The cache has a log book only plus micro certificates and hand made micro churches for the first few finders but no pen so please bring one with you

If any body would like to expand to this series please do, I would just ask that you could let me know first so I can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication
