Geocache Description:

This is a real hiking cache. No driving or biking in this area. The cache can be reached hiking from Las Paredes (N 28° 05.931 W 17° 14.929; crossing / busstop) over Imada through the Barranco Guarimiar to Playa de Santiago (Tour 4: Spektakuläre Aussichten – Durch den Barranco de Guarimiar, in: Wandern auf Gomera und Hierro, Dumont aktiv) it is a wonderful 4.5 hours (terrain rating 4) tour or you start a nice 20 minutes walk (terrain rating 2)from Imada to the cache location.

Start your hike at Las Paredes (N 28° 05.931 W 17° 14.929) and descend to Imada (1 hour), cross Imada and turn left at (N 28° 05.057 W 17° 14.470). If you follow the track down the valley, you will “stumble” after approximately 20 minutes over a very big rock (spoiler!), and that is, where you have to search for the cache.

If you decide to descend to Playa de Santiago, the most beautiful part of the track starts now, the Barranco de Guarimiar (1.5 hours).

From Rumbazo (at the end of the Barranco) to Playa de Santiago it is another 1 hour walk on the road.

Wear good shoes, be careful, watch your step and bring plenty of water and food.

From Playa de Santiago a ship or bus can bring you back to Valle Gran Rey or to San Sebastian
(check timetables before!!!)

If there are any problems with the cache, please contact me or Marina (username = rocamar), she will take care of the cache!

Enjoy :-)
