I
1869 kom jernbanen til Aalborg, dette fik kammerherren på Birkelse
Hovedgaard til arbejde for en jernbane til Fjerritslev. I 1874
lykkedes det kammerherren, at samle så megen støtte til, at bygge
en jernbane nord for fjorden. At man afholdte et orienterende møde
på Hotel Phønix i Aalborg, her nedsatte man en komite der skulle
arbejde videre med planerne. I 1897 indviede man den vestlige del
af jernbanen mellem Fjerritslev og Frederikshavn via
Nørresundby.
Fjerritslev
er en rigtig stationsby, en by som er opstået p.g.a. jernbanen og
af de byer, som er vokset op langs den vestlige del af jernbanen
fra Fjerritslev til Frederikshavn er den og Aabybro de to byer som
har oplevet den største fremgang og som er vokset til de to største
byer.
For
at sætte det hele lidt i perspektiv… Så var landsbyen Kollerup der
ligger nordøst for Fjerritslev, dengang langt større end
Fjerritslev. Byen bestod af kro og nogle få huse, i 1885 åbnedes
der bryggeri, det var det først og største 2 etagers hus mellem
Thisted og Aalborg! I 1858 havde Øster og Vester Han Herredernes
Spare- og Laanekasse åbnet som den første landsparekasse i Jylland.
I 1894 havde man bygget det første sygehus.
Apoteket, dommerkontoret og retsbygningen, fandtes godt nok også i
Vester Han Herred, men var placeret i landsbyen Skerping (syd for
Fjerritslev) Han Herreds Tømmerhandel lagde på det tidspunkt i
Aggersund, her var der jo lettere at få fragtet indkøbte materialer
til videresalg til, via båd. Hvis man skulle i kirke, ja så måtte
man også til Kollerup.
Dette
var alt sammen før jernbanen, efter 1897 kom der til at ske ting og
sager allerede d. 1. april 1899 åbnedes Fjerritslev Avis først som
uge avis siden som dagblad. 1907 skænkede bankdirektøren fra
Fjerritslev Bank, som var åbnet året efter banen. En del af sin
have, hvor borgerne i Fjerritslev kunne bygge en kirke.
Med jernbanen blev Fjerritslev nu hovedstaden i Han Herred og
derfor flyttedes nu apotek, retsbygning, arrest, dommerkontor
hertil. Senere blev der bygget en teknisk skole, i 1898 byggedes
den første ”folkeskole” (beliggende på Borups Allé), den blev
senere i 1930érne væltet p.g.a. pladsmangel og den nuværende
hovedbygning blev bygget. I 1956 omdøbt til Nordre skole, der
overtog sognerådet nemlig den private realskole i Grønnegade. Han
Herreds Tømmerhandel flyttede også til ”hovedstaden”, nu kunne man
jo få varerne leveret med banen og det blev vigtigere at have
forretning tættere på kunderne.
Man
kan sige at det er lidt utroligt, at Fjerritslev er blevet skabt og
vokset til det den er i dag, det er jo helt sikkert jernbanens og
de driftige handelsmænds skyld. For modsat Aggersund eller Aabybro,
så har Fjerritslev ingen naturlig transport vej, som f.eks. vandvej
og her vil du jo måske protestere og sige at man ikke kan sejle til
Aabybro, men jo du kan sejle fra Limfjorden op ad Ryaa til Aabybro
(besøg evt. cachen: Ryå - Ladeplads).
Selve
stationen rangerede sammen med Aabybro, som de største på den
vestlige strækning og efter åbningen af Thisted – Fjerritslev
Jernbane også som stationen for denne jernbane. Den var tegnet af
arkitekt Ths. Arboe og stod færdigbygget i 1897, den var bygget i
gule teglsten og havde cementtagsten. Der var to perronspor og et
krydsningsspor på 450 meter øst for stationen var der en bevogtet
overskæring af Aggersundvej, dette ledvogterhus står stadig, det
gør stationen desværre ikke, den blev nedrevet 7 år efter banens
lukning. Fjerritslev – Frederikshavn Jernbane havde en
dobbeltsporet remise med drejeskive, samt vandkran. Thisted –
Fjerritslev Jernbane havde på stationen en enkeltsporet remise og
drejeskive.

i 1960erne var der mange danske privatbaner, som blev nedlagt dette
skabte selvfølgelig en heftig debat, i bl.a. aviserne. Der er to
artikler, som blev bragt i Jyllands Posten, som kan være ret tanke
vækkende her mange år senere.
For at finde denne cach skal de to artikler nu findes, det kan
måske virke lidt svært, men her er lidt hjælp!
Første
artikel
blev
bragt søndag d. 17. november 1963 i Jyllands Posten, havde
overskriften: ”Planer for privatbane-Fremtid”, det er Aalborg
Privatbaners formand som bliver interviewet han hed G. Rendbeck,
artiklen der skal findes afslutter med denne tekst: Intet tyder
paa, at de store byer vil kunne løse parkeringsproblemerne paa
længere sigt, og derfor faar brug for en art S-togs-dækning, som
det vil være naturligt at tage op for privatbanerne. Jeg, ved nok,
at rutebilerne regner med at kunne klare det kommende behov alene,
men konkurrence er sund, og derfor mener jeg, at der netop paa
dette omraade fortsat vil være brug for privatbanernes erfaring og
indsats.

Trafikken”, her er det formand for rutebilejerne i Aalborg Amt
Henry Thinggaard der udtaler sig, Henry Thinggaard ejede
Thinggaards Busser, der bl.a. kørte på ruten Aalborg – Fjerritslev
– Thisted, artiklen som der skal findes har en tekst, som lyder:
Med det lidt overfladiske kendskab, jeg har til byudviklingen
omkring Aalborg, er det min opfattelse, at planetbyerne ikke
placeres i nærheden af banerne, men paa bar mark for at have frie
hænder til udformningen. Det er motorgader og ikke jernbaner, der
stiller krav til den offentlige investering i trafik.

In 1869 the railway came to Aalborg, this was chamber master at
Birke Manor to work for a rail to Fjerritslev. In 1874 they managed
chamber master to gather as much support to build a railway north
of the fjord. At where held a briefing session at the Hotel Phønix
in Aalborg, here they set up a committee which would work on the
plans. In 1897 inaugurated the western railway between Fjerritslev
and Frederikshavn through Nørresundby.
Fjerritslev is a great station, a town that has arisen due
railways and the cities that have grown up along the western
railway from Fjerritslev to Frederikshavn and the Aabybro the two
cities that have experienced the greatest success and has grown to
the two largest cities.
To put it all into perspective a little ... Then there was the
village Kollerup located northeast of Fjerritslev, then much larger
than Fjerritslev. The city consisted of an inn and a few houses in
1885 opened brewery, it was the first and largest 2-story house
between Thisted and Aalborg! In 1858 the East and West, Han
Herred's Spare & Laanekasse opened as the first savings bank in
Jutland. In 1894 it was built the first hospital.
Apoteket, Judge office and court building, was all ready here in,
Han Herred, but was located in the village Skerping (south of
Fjerritslev) Han Herreds Tømmerhandel was at the time of Aggersund,
here was the easier to get chartered materials bought for resale to
via boat. If wanna go to church, then had to go to Kollerup.
This was all before the railways after 1897 came to be things
already 1st April 1899 opened Fjerritslev Avis first weeks as a
newspaper page as newspaper. 1907 gave bank director from
Fjerritslev Bank, which was opened years after the pitch. Some of
his garden, where citizens Fjerritslev could build a church.
With the railways were now the capital of Fjerritslev Han Herred
and therefore moved now pharmacy courthouse, arrest, court them.
Was later built a technical school in 1898 built the first
"primary" (located on Borups Allé), was later overthrown in the
1930's due lack of space and the current main building was built.
In 1956 renamed Nordre school, which took over the parish council
for the private Realskole in Grønnegade. Han Herreds Tømmerhandel
also moved to "capital" now could be the goods to be delivered with
the railway and it was important to have business closer to
customers.
You could say that it is somewhat amazing that Fjerritslev have
evolved and grown into it is today, it is certainly the railways
and the thriving trade men's sake. For opposite Aggersund or
Aabybro, then Fjerritslev no natural means of transport, for
example. waterway and here you will of course might protest and say
that you can not go to Aabybro, but of course you can sail from the
Limfjord up Ryaa to Aabybro (possibly visit. cache: Ryå -
Ladeplads).
The station ranked with Aabybro as the largest on the western line
and after the opening of Thisted - Fjerritslev railway station as
of this railway. It was designed by architect Ths. Arbo and was
built in 1897, it was built in yellow bricks, and had cement tiles.
There were two platform tracks and crossing a track in the 450
meters east of the station, there was a guarded cutting
Aggersundvej this gateway house remains, it does not,
unfortunately, the station, it was demolished 7 years after the
railway closure. Fjerritslev - Frederikshavn Railway had a double
track depot with turntable and water crane. Thisted - Fjerritslev
Railway station had on a single track remise and turntable.
If you're after the cache was found, want to learn more about
Fjerritslev - Frederikshavn Railway has released a very good book
on the track. It is called "Fjerritslev course - its course through
time and landscape," written by Arnold Andersen and published by
the publisher Nord - press.
Now to the cache:
At one of the websites we have mentioned and spent a great deal as
a source of creating this series over, there are two articles. Find
the two articles and answer the two questions we ask and the cache
is almost found (sorry but the articles are in Danish)!
Back in the 1960s, there were many Danish private railways, which
was closed this created naturally a heated debate, in particular
newspapers. There are two articles published in Jyllands Posten,
which can be quite thought the hell out of here many years
later.
To find this cach the two items now exist, it may seem a bit
difficult, but here is a little help!
The first article was placed on Sunday 17 November 1963 in
the Jyllands Posten, had the title: "Plans for the private rail
Future", the Aalborg Privatbaners President who will be
interviewed, he said Rend G. Beck, the article must be found
concludes with this text: Nothing indicates that the big cities
could resolve parking problems in the long run and therefore will
need an art S-train coverage as it would be natural to take up for
private courses. I know that the route the cars expect to be able
to cope with the future needs alone, but competition is healthy, so
I think that just in this area will continue to be used for private
rail experience and effort.

The second article was brought Sunday 24th November 1963 in
the Jyllands Posten, had the headline: "Traffic Means without
Subsidies can take over private rail traffic", here is the
President of the route drivers in Aalborg County Henry Thinggaard
which shall act, Henry Thinggaard owned Thing's buses, which ran on
the route Aalborg - Fjerritslev - Thisted, the article to be found
a text that reads: With a little superficial knowledge, I have to
urban development around Aalborg, it is my opinion that the plane
cities not located in the vicinity of railways, but at green field
to have a free hand in designing. The engine streets and railways,
which require public investment in traffic.
