The purpose of this series of caches is not to be difficult, but to bring you to a bit of Americana…
So don't expect a "traditional PBS Hide"...
Just a log (it is waterproof paper)... bring your own writing utensil...
preferablly a ball point or pencil,
!!!try to refrain from using a felt tip or gel writer, in case of water seepage!!!...
High traffic area, especially in the summer months...
Be aware of muggles here!!!
Magnetic Hide-A-Key... located at the Waterfront Park in Greenport...
You could spend the whole day here in Greenport...
take a ride on the Carousel, check out the "Camera Obscura"...
(It is one of the only Camera Obscura's in the USA, very KOOL)...
In winter, go ice skating on the outdoor rink...
On a hot summer day, sit on a bench under the "water misters" and cool off...
Check out all the yachts...
Lots of good restaurants, museums, boat tours, marina's & shopping here...
Come by boat if you can...
lots of public dockage! daily or overnight...
There are 60 public deep water slips with water & electric...
This town is the Jewel of the North Fork...
While here you can easily grab our "JAWS
III Mini-Micro" cache (GCJY8W) and "Greenport Art" cache (GCD3B6)...
OK... Jaws III may not be that easy???
If you have your laptop or PDA or whatever...
There are a bunch of free WIFI hotspots around town... (there's a popular coffee shop across the street)...
Sit down...
Have a cup of Joe, or hit another place for something stronger...
and log your caches for the day...
