Geocache Description:

An offset cache marks a historical site that often goes unnoticed by commuters riding or walking past: The oldest passenger railroad station in California.

At the given coordinates you will find a marker with information about this venerable building, built back in the 19th century to serve the San Jose and San Francisco Railroad Company. Now, many mergers later, it's a part of the infrastructure for Caltrain commuters, and the home of Menlo Park's Chamber of Commerce office. A regular cache wouldn't survive long amidst the muggle hordes, so you'll have to do just a bit of observing to locate the final. Determine the following values: A: Walk around to the trackside of the old station. Look for the C of C sign (GONE). Now see some windows whose odd sills betray their former purpose as stations for (human) ticket sellers. How many windows? B: Add the first two digits of the building's street address (REPORTED MISSING - THIS DIGIT is "2"). C: The last digit of the California landmark number. D: The last digit of the year of original construction. Now go get the final at: N 37 27.2AB W 122 10.8CD It's a pill bottle in a very usual hiding spot. It is NOT on the railroad right of way or platforms, and not attached to any railroad or other commuter facilities. If you're being pointed there, your fix is bogus or you got something wrong above. Again, DON'T mess with any RR equipment or cross any related barriers. The hide is off in as quiet a corner as this area offers, but there can still be a lot of muggle traffic, so please be stealthy. Trying for this one during commute hours would NOT be a good idea!
