Geocache Description:

Old Plymouth Walk

. This is a tour to and past some historical monuments commemorating Old Plymouth's history. Along the route you'll pass by Plymouth Rock, the Mayflower when she is in port, and Burial Hill with its fine views of the Harbor, as well as numerous historical sites, buildings, and statues. . The circuit starts at the indicated coordinates in Brewster Gardens. You'll need to find the answers to the questions and then plug in the numbers to locate the final. Along the way you should wander off the trail as the spirit moves you as this multi is more about what's along the way than the find. Heads up for folks with strollers: while almost the entire route is paved, there is one set of downhill stairs involved (go left a bit and circle back to avoid). . The listed coordinates are for the middle of Brewster Gardens. If you turn in a circle you can see everything you need to answer the first four questions, though you will need to stroll about for a closer look. Enjoy the sounds of the stream.

A = How many people from away are below the eagle?

B= Number of the Month the monument to the Maiden was dedicated.

C= Letters in the last name of the person honored by the "split rock" monument?

D= The number of masts on the ship weathervane atop the building to the East. . When you've found everything, head out under the arches, cross the street and continue on the same general course towards the colonial housing (E) and then on towards the water to find large flagpole (F) by the harbor near the famous boat to gather these numbers:

E= Number of intact old time windows on the Northern side of the second of the two similar colonial cottages. (The AC unit doesn't count ;-)

F= Number of cleats on the large flag pole plus one. (For non-sailers the meaning of cleat is: Nautical. an object of wood or metal having one or two projecting horns to which lines may be attached). A___ B___ C___ D___ E___ F___ When you know the answers, enter them above, then follow the walkway to the coordinates for turn one and head uphill to the blind-folded lady. Beneath her note the construction data for the building. Once the county court house and now the Town Hall, it is currently being renovated again but read the plaque.

G= last digit of the last remodeling. Go left around the building and continue up the hill to the north entrance to the Burial Hill Cemetery. The small oddly shaped structure is on the site of the Old Powder House.

H=last digit in the year the original Old Powder House was built. From here, head South on the walkway following the path counterclockwise along the periphery of the old Cemetery to the obelisk and after solving for I, continue along the path and out the East Entrance.

I= Number of the years the interned was an Elder, minus one. Look South, to the right, and note the two nearby churches. Walk to the square and examine the plaques on their facades. One is red and the others, green. (This is where stroller folks will need to circle back to avoid the many stairs) Translate the longest Roman numerial on the Northern most Green Plaque to Arabic numerials.

J= last digit of the resulting number. G___ H____ I____ J____ K____ Having found the numbers and entered them in the grid, head down hill towards the Golden Dome, but before you reach it, turn left, heading generally North to the street of the same name , and then go right towards Turn Two. From here, look for a tall Indian, note his name and then have a seat on a nearby bench, and divine the location of the cache while enjoying the view.

The last piece of the puzzle is: K= Number of letters in the Indian Chief's name. To solve for the final, plug the digits into the formula:

North: I=____° F=____C=____. D=____A=____E=____

West: H=____C=____H=____°(G+E)=____K=___.J=____F=____B=____
