Geocache Description:

Located above Crickhowell in the Black Mountains. A strenuous circular walk involving that quaint Welsh tradition of footpaths in streams, taking me 3 hours but most other people should take 2 hours max.

The cache is led to via a series of micro caches. The final cache is not far off the track, all micro caches are reachable from the track. None are difficult to find. It might help to research or Google ‘one-eyed troll and goats’ to help with 2nd clue.

Suggest parking in the area of the sub-station (please do not block any gates) at SO223193 and taking the lower of the 2 paths on the opposite side of the road. Follow this track to the style on your right, this leads to a field with Highland Cattle (very laid back) and 2 donkeys (very friendly).

The first few micro caches are in a pleasant wooded area (notable for primroses and bluebells), most have an area of clear sky within a reasonable distance to get a distance and bearing even in summer, (if conditions get too difficult the number of micro caches in the wood will be reduced).

The first site is in wooded ground in the base of a tree, very close to the path.

The second site, due to interference, is now 15yds back from where the clue indicates, in the base of a tree.

Original contents included Travel Bug ‘Scotty of Bulgaria’ who is trying to get home.
