Suoraviivainen liikunnallinen multi. Ensimmäisestä pisteestä löydät sopivasti, mutta tarkasti silmäilemällä "koordinaatit" kätkölle. Joudut hieman kapuamaan ja lapsien (sekä lapsenmielisten aikuisten:-) perään on syytä katsoa, mutta mitään vaarallista ei kuitenkaan tarvitse tehdä.
(Lisäys: ykköspisteellä ilmeisesti on myös Urheiluopiston oma epävirallinen kätköpurkki. Älkää antako sen hämätä. Etsikää jotain vähän epätavallisempaa...)
Suosittelen kulkemaan kätkölle jalkaisin ensin puomilla suljettua tietä Ilkankurun pulkkamäen kiertäen ja siitä oheisten reittipisteiden kautta. Etäisyys n. 1km ja perille pääsee tietä/polkuja pitkin.
Matkalle osuva pieni ja kapea Valkjärvi on muodoltaan erikoinen: se on kokoonsa nähden huomattavan jyrkkärantainen ja syvä. Vaikka vesi on kirkasta, niin suuren syvyyden vuoksi se näyttää aivan mustalta. Paikalla on hyvät uintimahdollisuudet hyppytorneineen (10m).
Talviattribuutti on arvio. Reippaampi lumikerros saattaa haitata kätkön löytämistä.
EDIT: Varsinaisen kätköpurkin piilopaikalla on tainnut tapahtua jotain muutoksia. Kätkövinkki on sen vuoksi pitänyt muuttaa hieman epämääräisemmäksi
Kätköpaikan vieressä voi myös kivuta ylös asti katsomaan maisemaa ja pohtimaa mitä toimintaa paikalla on aikoinaan ollut.
Patikointia lisää kaipaaville Reittipisteestä 2 lähtee Suurjärven länsirantaa seuraileva hieno Lemmenharjun luontopolku (2,8km). Suosittelen !.
Talvella pulkat tai sukset mukaan. Kesällä uikkarit.
Jos kuitenkin haluat kulkea kätkölle autolla, niin ohessa on p-paikka kätkön läheltä. Huomioithan alueen 30km/h nopeusrajoituksen.
Vierumäen urheiluopistolta löytyy monipuolisesti liikuntamahdollisuuksia. Henkilökohtaisesti voin suositella alueen erinomaisen hyvin hoidettua latuverkkoa.
Vierumäeltä lähtee myös vaellus-, pyöräily ja hiihtoreitit mm Heinolaan (Ilves reitit).

A straightforward sporty multi. In the first point you'll find "coordinates" to the cache by using your eyes in the right way. You need to climb a bit and you need to look after the youngsters, but there is no need to do anything dangerous.
(There seems to be an unofficial cache box also in the starting point. Don't let it fool you. Look for something un-conventional...)
I recommend, that you walk to the cache by using the road closed with a barrier. Go around the "Ilkankuru" and then through the given waypoints. Distance is ca 1km and there is a road/path almost all the way.
On the way you'll see the narrow Valkjärvi -lake. It is intresting since it's very deep and has suprisingly steep shores. Although the water is clear - it looks almost black due to it's deepness. It's a good place to swim and there's a 10m jumptower also.
At the cache place you can climb all the way up to see the view and wonder what they used to do there. If you want to hike a little more, then I recommend the Lemmenharju route (2,8km) that starts from the routepoint 2.
EDIT: Some changes have happened very close to the cache box. So I had to change the hint to be more vague. Sorry.
In the wintertime take skis or sleds with you. In the summer take a swimsuit.
If you really want to drive to the cache, then there is a parking point as a waypoint. Please notice the 30km/h speedlimit.
Vierumäki offers a wide variety of sporting possibilities. Personally I can recommend the skiing routes here. There are also many hiking, biking and skiing routes that start from the Vierumäki area (f.ex. Ilves routes).
