On January 19, 2008, while Daddy
Guider was pulling out the silly box he chases (Lake View GC18KMA),
the Golden Guiders were up to some serious business. They found a
little pug that had gotten herself lost in the woods. She was so
nervous that she would not let the guiders or Daddy Guider get to
close
Daddy Guider had to take the rescue team back to the car and bribe
the little pug with some cookies. Once he got close enough and
picked her up, she was a VERY Happy Girl.
The pup was so shy, that even though other cachers were there the
day before.. she did not come out of hiding. People saw her prints
in the snow so she was right there
Well, as it turns out.. The little pugs name is Sadie. She had been
missing for a week and survived multiple snow storms and below
freezing temps. Her family had given her up for lost.
This smart pup (Sadie) had made herself a dog bed. She had melted
the snow like a deer right down to the ground
Sadie’s Family is very happy to
have her home. She had some frost bite on her lips and is favoring
a leg, but otherwise appears no worse for the adventure.
So that is why the Golden Guiders
are my heroes.
