A Multi-cache along the Will Rogers Country Centennial Trail.

This 4 stage Multi-cache will take you along the Will Rogers Country Centennial Trail ending high on scenic Kite Hill. This twelve-plus mile Equestrian Trail system follows along a portion of the southern shore of Oologah Lake. Plan on at least 3 hours for this adventure and pack accordingly. Your total round trip will be at least 3 1/2 miles. The trail is much better suited for four-footed travelers than two-footed. That is, while you are actually on the trail. Recent ice storms have blocked sections. Farthest portions of the trails are all but invisible. There is no actual direct trail between stages 3 and 4, and between stages 2 & 3 it is sketchy. You will encounter lots of thorns, bugs, elevation change and fantastic views of Oologah Lake.
Portions of the trail may not be passable after heavy rains.  I suggest you mark several waypoints along the trail, especially between stages 2 and 3, as you will not want to backtrack to Stage 3 from the Final.

Congratulations to Hobbitix for FTF on stages 1 and 2, Extreme Mom and Hobbitix for their tenatious search for stage three, and tcberry33 for the official, complete FTF!

Wow, that's a C-A-C-H-E cache. Third find along the Centennial Trail to pick up 3 caches - this one, Will Rogers - Mosquito Cove, and Will Rogers Trailhead. Fortunately, we didn't have to wade through water, as our make-shift bridges got us across a couple of tough spots. Lots of mud though! As we write this log, we all feel like we've been hit by a truck. T-baseball cards, L-army bracelet and slinky. Also picked up the Swat TB. Thanks for a great cache and the work put into setting up and maintaining it. Great fun!

If your going to do a difficult cache, do it with a great group of cachers. Especially with the owners and another cacher that has done it before. I kept trying to mess things up, but they kept me on the straight and narrow. Luckily nature came thru and added some hardships. mud, sticky mud, extra slippery mud, deep mud, water and plenty of thorns. I would have definately been out here twice as long if I would have barreld thru following the arrow. It helps to know the lay of the land, and use the trails even if they don't seem to be going in the right direction. Noone fell in the water on the way in. We did have to wade thru calf deep water and everyone had to finish the trip with wet socks. We have a ways to go and something can still happen on the way back. I was excited to see a LIVE armadillo, those are rare creatures. I was real excited when Hobbitix told me that they are usually nocturnal and if they are awake during the day, they may be rabid, but alas, no it just waddled away, so I got back in front of the wife and headed towards the hill. The climb up the hill was promising, but everyone made it in one piece, just huffing and puffing. We found all the stages in good shape. We headed back and everyone collected logs to cross the flooded area. I only grabbed rotten logs. This is gonna be great. Someone is going to go in the water trying to balance on a buch of old logs thrown down, but no, just some wet feet DANG IT. I gotta find some clumsier geocachers, I can't be the one doing all hard work all the time. This was a great geocache. I really enjoy the hikes. I'm not sure when to recommend doing this one for future geocachers, but definately study the trails and get out here and do it. Thanks for the cache!!!

GPS... check
Water... Check
Geo geocacher group... check

Holly geo satellites we knew there's gonna be mud, but almost 50% of the hike, thats a little bit too much. Hey I wasn't told I have to go thru the water, almost to middle of my calfs, and the hike , ouchhh, I am a bit sore, ( Not as bad as the hike from GC21H5T). But what fun it is to be in a group with such great company, This cache is a one time deal ( like "Where Vultures Dare !!"), which we have to do again. If you like mud , water, broken branches , torns up the ying-yang, then this is the cache for you, TFTC/SL TNLN

4:01 What a great day for geocaching so we made a plan to find three caches today along the lake with M5, Hobbitix, Joytoy1963 and Okie Paladin supervising us all... just read the logs from our last trip to "Where Vultures Dare" and you will understand we need supervision.
After getting our boots soaked from finding "Mosquito Cove" we headed toward the first stage of this four stage monster. If you like to hike through thick brush up and down hills, and through water and mud then this cache is for you. This one took us about 3 hours of almost non-stop hiking to complete. I would say it is much tougher than I thought it would be. I am very glad I had such good company along with me for the hike. We had a great time and I look forward to our next adventure. I appreciate the time and energy it took to put this cache out and to maintain it, it is very well done. We need to keep this cache operational and it is definitely one everyone should do... once. Hunting Season is over. Not sure how the trails are, but I will make a maintenance run tomorrow to check everything out. Who is up for a sloppy hike?
