A challenging cache in a beautiful redwood park.
You may think that Butano Redwood State Park is a strange place to find flying fish, but they are here, though there aren't many, and they're quite shy. They live in a decon container in the forest about 50 ft from the Mill Ox Trail which includes a steep, but not very long, section -- no real bushwacking is required. There is parking for 2 or 3 cars near the footbridge over the creek.
My new High Sensitivity GPSr had no trouble locking onto several satellites. Older GPSr's may have some trouble in the forest -- hence the 3.5 star difficulty
Please take care to re-hide the cache properly.
(You don't want the next geocacher to have it any easier than you did !)
Note, a vehicle entry fee is collected year round.
