REMEMBER – THE CACHE IS NOT AT THE POSTED COORDINATES
This cache is named for a place I am usually at every Sunday morning. There is a small fellowship of RC Sailplane enthusiasts who frequent this spot on Sundays. This is not an “official” RC spot, but now has many pilots showing up to fly their “big boy’s toys. The sailplane group, which I have been a part of for several years, started coming here sometime in the late 90’s. The “electric” guys started coming to the field late last year. The grass field makes a perfect area to land the VERY expensive sailplanes that are flown here. Feel free to come to the posted coordinates any Sunday morning, when the weather is nice and there are thermals about. Most everyone out there is really friendly (especially the sailplane guys) and don’t mind questions or site seeing. Just be very careful walking around as some of the sailplanes can cost a couple thousand.
You can claim this cache one of two ways. The easiest is to show up on any Sunday morning and grab the cache coordinates of the “launch-o-matic”. You can treat it as a Multi-Waypoint cache hunt. Or in true Geocacher style you can solve the following puzzle. Trust me you already know enough now to do some basic research to solve the coordinates.
The actual cache is located in Greasewood Park – Please follow all park rules while caching and remember the park is open 6:00am to 10:30pm.
