At one time this was the focal point of all Finns, the point to where all had on average the same distance to travel. Nowadays the Weber point is currently somewhere to the south.
Weberin piste on väestöllinen keskipiste kartalla. Määritellyn alueen asukkaiden yhteenlaskettu etäisyys on lyhin Weberin pisteeseen. Piste on nimetty 1900-luvun alun tilastomaantieteilijä Alfred Weberin mukaan. Weberin piste ei ole väestön painopiste. (Wikipedia)
Pari sanaa paikan nimestä: vuosi tulee sanasta vuo, eli virta. Viha taas viittaa koskeen: "Veden vihat eli vesihiidet tarttuivat järvestä, joen pyörteestä tai rannalta. Erityisen vaarallisia paikkoja olivat umpilammet ja kosken pyörteet." (Wikipedia)

A couple of words about the place name: Viha in this case has nothing to do with hate, but refers to the rapids. Vuosi comes from the Finnish word vuo, meaning stream.
