Geocache Description:

Best parking is s/a Happier Trails GC14X5T at the end of Langley Pkwy. Paths are nicely packed down. Need snowshoes to cut across Rum Hill or is it still part of Rattlesnake Hill[?]... haven't been rattlesnakes there since early 1900's ... I did see huge garter snakes last summer[:o]

This regular size lock n lock is full of beagles & other show dogs including a couple of Golden Guiders for the hero dogs But the Beagles are BEST IN SHOW 2008 Congratulations Uno
We raised Beagles when we were on our farm in Poolesville, Maryland. They sure are the happiest little dogs I've ever known
After HnnhDg hid the Frozen Cookies cache, we trekked onward & thought we had found a perfect spot ... Woops! it was only 334' from Hilltop Cache. I worked like a dog for this hide I thought maybe I could go on beyond the giant water tower ... HA! The beaten path only goes around the tower & leads back to HnnhDg's cache!
From the Frozen Cookies Trailhead follow the trail into the woods to the first left. We were getting closer to Daisies GCYPAD. So I had Cookies, Daisies & Hilltop all far enough away and there the Beagles settled in about 30' from the trail. Although they are on the ground, it is winter findable because those evergreens act like umbrellas so the snow isn't too deep. I thought maybe this path would lead us over to Happier Trails .27 away as the crow flies ... HA! the trail winds around and I should have had snowshoes! This trail finally leads in back of Granite Ledges and then to Happier Trails. I think it took me twice as long to get back. I recommend returning by the beaten path in winter
