NorthSide1 Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

MikieP: I'm archiving this cache and its cousin NorthSide2. They were kept around only because they served as anchor points for a third puzzle cache, Half-Way (GC1C82), but the puzzle can be solved without keeping the anchors alive.
Plus the way to this cache has slowly crumbled into the American River and would be very unsafe, so SEE YA!

Geocache Description:

CLIMBING GEAR NOT REQUIRED - SMALL CHILDREN NOT ADVISED

This cache intoduces a very nearby yet generally untravelled trail system. Possible parking is a little closer to the site than I like, but the relative difficulty of the final trail offsets the nearness.

The cache itself is a one gallon mayonnaise jar, and should be very easy to locate. At placement it was stuffed with:

  • An OSH Flashlight,
  • Six Orange Tent Pegs,
  • A Large Bottle of Bubbles,
  • Four Pack of AA Batteries,
  • Small Pack of BandAids,
  • Collapsable Travel Cup,
  • Clean Wipes,
  • Sheet of Barney Stickers,
  • California Poppy Seeds,
  • Foam Globe,
  • Chrome Emergency Whistle,
  • 13" Bungee Cord,
  • Lip Balm.

Plus the GeoCaching Information Sheet, Log Book with Pen, Pencils, and Sharpener, and a Single Use Camera to record your presence.

Please take a picture of yourself and note the number of shots remaining in your log entry.
