Havnen har tidligere - som i alle andre byer med kyst - været byens omdrejningspunkt.
Der anløber stadig skibe med gods til Thisted havn, men langt den overvejende del af godstransport foregår jo med lastbil. Der gøres så en del fra byens side, for at havnen kan få nyt liv. Men en dag som idag - hvor billedet er taget - sker der ikke meget.

Eng.In the past, the harbour was the major commercial area for the town. But today almost all transport is by road.
