Det er lykkedes at tiltrække store stævner - f.eks. blev der i 2007 afholdt verdensmesterskab i styrkeløft.

Eng. Thyhallen is meent to be the major sports facility in Thy.
And it has succeded in attracting major events. In 2007 it was host for the World Championship in benchpress.
