We owned this property (almost 7 acres) and sold it back 2000. This little area behind all the homes is all that looks like our old place. Until a few months ago the fort was still standing and the little benches we put up. But alas they are gone now....
It was a long hot summer back in 1998 and we gave Jacob, Amy and Brad (Jacob's friend) a tarp - lumber and nails and permission to build a fort anywhere on the property. So off the three went into the forest to find a hidden spot of their own. The rooster cage was at the entrance of the path they would take to get to their secret fort. Our rooster, named Dinner, was the guard to their secret path to the fort, because he would cluck to be let out when he saw someone coming...so that is how the kids would know that someone was near)The only way to get them into the house was to ring the dinner triangle. :)
Amy said, "After we built the fort we put our initials into a tree J.A.B. - you will have to see if it is still there."
When I went to hide the cache - Jacob went with me - and found another tree that he had carved his initials in with the girl he liked. :) So, also find the E-J if you can. (Thank goodness his wife's name also starts with E. LOL)

CONGRATULATIONS NEVERSUMMER IN BEING FTF!
This cache was muggled badly in december 2010 so we had to change the location of the cache and the size of the cache...it is now a small.
PLEASE USE STEALTH!!! IF THIS GETS MUGGLED AGAIN WE WILL NEED TO CHANGE IT TO A MEMBERS ONLY CACHE.
