This is the final cache of the pirate series.. For Capt. Jack 1,3,4 search zip code 02885, for Capt Jack 5 + 6 search zip code 02769, and for Capt Jack 2 search zip code 02809. The inspiration for this series was Black Jack, our 16 year old Maine Coon Cat. Capt. Jack died Wed. Aug 19, 2009. He will be missed.
The pirate tale that started out as a 2 part, 2 cache story has now reached it's end. Along the way it expanded to 6 parts and 6 caches. Part 7 brings the story to a close. I wanted to make part 7 challenging. Some of the pirate caches have been relatively easy, some more difficult. Hopefully I've saved the best for last. The listed co-ords are bogus.
The Pirates have left you a farewell ditty in it is the clue to finding the final:

Capt. Jack and crew have made their final sail

Finding them is a tall task
But not too much for a pirate to ask

Once you have the co-ords for the final your work is not done. It's no easy park and grab. For the final I strongly recommend bringing along a mountain bike. When you see where it is you'll know why. It can be walked but mountain bike or any fat tire bike is the best choice of transport. It's a 7 mile round trip to the cache and back. All this will make more sense once you have the final co-ords. I can absolutely GUARANTEE that YB_lee will not FTF this one 2 hours after it's published. I hope that when the co-ords are located by the first cacher that they are kept secret. A lot of work went into prepping this and I hope everyone does it the way it was intended. Enjoy the pirate series. Capt. Jack's legend has been growing since I started this series last year. Some local cachers are on a 4 month journey around the US and they brought along Capt. Jack Treasure to place in caches along the way, spreading the legend. I guess it's fitting that YB was the FTF for the final seeing he was the very first cacher to find THE LEGEND OF CAPT. BLACK JACK STARLING AND THE LOST TREASURE OF THE PIRATE SHIP, THE GRAY PEARL, the cache that started this whole series 13 months ago. It has come to an end, covering 4 towns and 7 caches, all tied together with the pirate saga. I've decided to start an honorary crew made up of those who have done all 7.
