Geocache Description:

The cache is located just down the street from Kapiolani Community College and near the entrance leading into Diamond Head Crater.

Diamond Head, the most famous volcanic crater in the world, is located on the South-East Coast of O'ahu at the end of Waikiki overlooking the Pacific Ocean. It was originally named "Leahi" by the ancient Hawaiians. The name "Leahi" meant "brow of the tuna" and looking at the silhouette of the crater from Waikiki, you can see the resemblance. The Crater attracts over a million visitors a year with hundreds, even thousands of people taking the hike up daily to the Crater Rim overlooking our beautiful Island! This cache is for all vacationing cachers and our local community Geo-Ohana!

You can search for this cache before or after you finish your hike or just make this a Park-n-Grab. When you find the cache, there will be a logbook (no room for trade items)! You will need to bring a pen to sign the log. There is a place for you to rest and relax if you just finished your hike. Don’t forget to enjoy the area, the hike and this garden!
