Iedereen kent wel de manier waarop bij geocachen de hint wordt
versleuteld (geëncrypt) zodat je hem niet direct kan lezen. Om de
hint te kunnen ontsleutelen (decrypten ) heb je een sleutel nodig.
Deze ziet er voor alle caches hetzelfde uit:

Voor de Cryptocache is dit natuurlijk iets te makkelijk… Laten
we beginnen om de onderste rij letters van rechts naar links te
laten lopen. We krijgen dan de volgende sleutel:

Everybody knows the way the hint is encrypted with geocaching in
order to obfuscate the hint. To decrypt the hint you need a key.
This key is the same for every cache:

Of course this is a bit too simple for the Cryptocache… To start
we will arrange the letters on the bottom row of the key from right
