Geocache Description:

Cache is a medium size lock-n-lock located on the nature trail in Wallace Memorial Woods in Florence.

Wallace Woods has a very short, but very nice, nature trail. It is home to 2 hewn timber cabins built and used by slaves in the 1800's. Take time to read the marker and learn some history. You will park at the cabin area to access the nature trail that also has several markers describing the trees and shrubs indigenous to the area. This is an easy cache to decrease any chance of harm to nature while searching for the cache. If you see a geotrail please take a different route in to the cache.

Permission was granted for the placement of this cache after much consideration from the land manager. Please do not make him regret it.

Parking is only allowed at the cabins. Please do not park along the street to save a few feet. Daytime caching only. Logs will be deleted and cache will be removed if rules are not obeyed.
