Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
No dogs are permitted in this location, but there’s plenty of
near-by parking. This location is an ideal spot equipped for a
family picnic and with bear-proof garbage containers nearby.
Nearest public washrooms are mid-town, 415 Connaught Drive, at
Nature Calls.
Sonny Anderson was a popular local sportsman and railroader, raised
in Jasper, who died in a tragic train accident at Grantbrook BC on
22 January 1969. This may seem to be an unusual location for a
cache, but it has been placed at the suggestion of the honcho of
the local Lions’ Club (responsible for the site) and is located
exactly where he suggested. The cache is a micro (camouflaged) and
contains a pencil and visit registration log only. In accordance
with Jasper National Park guidelines no trading items are to be
left in this location, nor anything that might attract wildlife. If
any problems are noted with this cache, please call DAPS at
852-3241.
