blive behov for andet brændsel end tørv.
Aktien kostede 22,50 kr. Det var sikkert mange penge dengang, for
aktien skulle betales over 15 år.

In the late 17th century people started to see that there were
going to be a need for another fuel than peat. A group of locals
founded a plantation association and in 1895 Nr. Lydum plantation
was planted.
To join the plantation association you had to by a share. The share
had in 1895 a value of 22,50 kr. I must have been a lot of money at
that time for you could pay the share over 15 years.
Today the plantation is still owned by the association and the
shares still pass from father to the first-born son.
Enjoy the walk around the little plantation with a rich
wildlife. If you are lucky you could see both roe- and red
deer.
