'San Cristóbal de La Laguna' around 1840  



'La Laguna' was founded in the area of an ancient sea or lagoon, which dried out and provided the place for the foundation of the town. From the year 1496 until 1723 it was the capital of the island and since 1999 it is a 'UNESCO World Heritage'. La Laguna still nowadays is the cultural and religious capital of the island, as it hosts the university of 'San Fernando' and the bishops palace (which by the way burned out 2 years ago and is now in the process of being reconstructed as before - you will see it). The whole city is stuffed with extraordinary constructions, palaces and mansions all from the 17. and 18. century.
 I made this a little multicache (prepared during the non-repair of my car in La Laguna - I have to come back as  spare parts were missing - all revisions and repairs here last one whole day - AT LEAST - I could tell you stories.... - this is Tenerife too!!!!!), which brings you to some very nice locations in the city and might make you appetite for more.

I leave it up to you, how you organize your walk through the city, and it will probably be best to just walk. The parking coordinates might be near your parking position. Parking is difficult in La Laguna. You will see.....

'La Laguna' fue fundada sobre un antiguo lago o laguna, que se secó y dio lugar al crecimiento de la ciudad. Desde el  año 1496 hasta 1723 era 
la antigua capital de la isla y desde el año 1999 es un 'UNESCO Patrimonio de la Humedad'. La Laguna es también todavía hoy en dia la Capital cultural y religiosa, ya que tiene la Universidad de San Fernando y el Palacio del Obispo (que por cierto fue totalmente destruido por un fuego hace 2 años y ya esta en reparación - ya veras). Toda la ciudad está llena de extraordinarios monumentos arquitectónicos, palacios y mansiones de los siglos XVII y XVIII.
 
 Lo hize un pequeño Multicache (preparado durante el no-reparación de mi coche en La Laguna - debo volver al tailler porque no tuvieron los repuestos - todas las reparaciones y revisiones aquí tienen un día entero - POR LO MENOS -  podría contaros cuentas...... - eso también es Tenerife!!!!), que te traiga a unos lugares bonitos en la cuidad y pueda hacerte gana para más.

Puedas organizar tu paseo como quieras. Probablemente es lo mejor, si caminas. Las coordenadas de aparcamiento podrían ser cerca de tu lugar de aparcamiento. Aparquar es difícil en La Laguna. Ya veras....

'La Laguna' wurde auf dem Gelände eines alten Sees oder einer Lagune gegründet, die austrocknete und den Platz für die Gründung der Stadt zur Verfügung stellte. Vom Jahr 1496 bis 1723 war La Laguna die Hauptstadt der Insel und seit 1999 ist sie 'UNESCO Weltkulturerbe'. 'La Laguna' ist auch heute noch die kulturelle und religiöse Haupstadt der Insel, da es die Universität 'San Fernando' und den Bischofspalast (der übrigens vor 2 Jahren völlig ausbrannte und jetzt wiederhergestellt wird - Du wirst das sehen) beherbergt. Die ganze Innenstadt ist angefüllt mit außergewöhnlichen architektonischen Bauwerken, Palästen und Herrenhäusern aus dem 17. und 18. Jahrhundert.
 
 Ich habe daraus einen kleinen Multicache gemacht (vorbereitet während einer Nicht-Reparatur meines Autos in La Laguna - ich muß nochmal vorfahren, da die Erstzteile nicht verfügbar waren - alle Inspektionen und Reparaturen hier dauern einen ganzen Tag - MINDESTENS - ich könnte euch Geschichten erzählen.... - das ist auch Teneriffa!!!!!), der Dich an einige schöne Plätze der Stadt führen wird und Dir vielleicht Appetit auf mehr macht. 

Es bleibt Dir überlassen, wie Du Dich bei dem Spaziergang organisierst, aber wahrscheinlich ist es am besten, einfach zu Fuß zu gehen. Die Parkkoordinaten könnten in der Nähe Deines Parkplatzes sein. Parken ist schwierig in La Laguna. Du wirst schon sehen......
