Geocache Description:

This is the first Fireman's Friend geocache. These caches are dedicated to firemen and their really important work.

The container is a big micro container and has some space for trading items. There is a pen, logsheet and some trading items inside.
When searching for the cache, you'll have to be extra stealthy because there are lots of geomuggles nearby almost always.

Grankulla FBK on palokuntayhdistys joka toimii täysin vapaaehtoispohjalla (VPK). Palokunta vastaa osaltaan turvallisuudesta Länsi-Uudenmaan kunnissa aluepelastuslaitoksen kanssa solmitun palokuntasopimuksen kautta.

VPK:lla on keskeinen rooli kuntalaisten valistuksessa ja neuvonnassa sekä kunnan henkilöstön alkusammutuskoulutuksessa. Grankulla FBK rahoittaa suuren osan yleishyödyllisestä toiminnastaan talkoilla.

VPK koostuu noin 50 jäsenestä, sisältäen aktiivisen nuoriso-osaston, 20:n paikallisen nuoren muodostama nuoriso-osasto (15 poikaa, 5 tyttöä). Sammutusosasto hoitaa vuosittain noin 30 hälytystehtävää ja tekee keskimäärin 3000 tuntia työtä yhteiskunnan hyväksi korvauksetta.
