Den bøgeskovbevoksede Inderø ligger som en kile ud i Hald Sø, og
adskiller den lille Bækkelund Bugt (til højre i billedet) fra
resten af Hald Sø.
Langs bredden af halvøen er der afmærket en ca. 6 km lang natur sti
"Søstien". Stien er anlagt af ungarske flygtninge sidst i
1950'erne. Langs stien findes der bænke og mange gode udsigts
punkter over søen. Halvøen rummer bl.a. resterne af en 200 år
gammel knortet bøgeskov. For 200 år siden sørgede
fredskovforordningen fra 1805 nemlig for, at husdyr ikke længere
måtte afgræsse skoven, og bøgetræerne fik nu lov til at spire
frem.

Udsigten mod Hald
Fra bænken på dette sted kan man se over til trappen til Hald
Hovedgård, på modsatte side af bugten.
Parkanlægget på hovedgården var tidligere strengt symmetrisk
opbygget omkring en akse fra gården til trappen. Faktisk fortsatte
denne akse over søen og op i skoven på Inderøen. Man kan fra bænken
stadig se, at der har været hugget et spor op i skoven op af
skrænten.

will find inside the top of the cache "Hald Sø Området / Inderøen
rundt #5 / Spidsen"
The beech forest overgrown Inderø, is laying as a wedge into the
lake Hald Sø, separating the little Bækkelund Bay from the rest of
Lake Hald Sø.
Along the shore of the peninsula there is a marked, 6 Km long
nature track "søstien". The track has been made by Hungarian
displaced persons in the last part of 1950's. Along the track there
are bench and a lot of good views over the lake. On the
peninsula you will find remains of a 200 years old knotty beech
forest. 200 year ago, the preservation regulation from 1805
prohibit, that domestic animals no longer may stay in the forest,
and the small new beech were allowed to grow.
The forest here is very old. The forest dike already existed in
1682. The dike marked, that this forest belong to Hald Hovedgård,
and that they didn’t want other persons or animals to move around
in the forest.
Great parts of the forest along the shore, to day consist of 200
years old beech forest.
This part of the forest is laid out as "untouched forest", which
mean, that the forest will be allowed to take care of it's self,
without felling.
At a moment, some coniferous trees were planted on the peninsula
itself. With the time, they will al be felling and replaced with
floriferous.

If you can't find the cache, or it's
muggled, you can find sos-coordinates to the cache "Inderøen" under
the bench close at.
Udsigten mod Hald
From the bench on this place, you can see
over to the stairs of Hald Hovedgård, on the other side of the
bay.
The park of the main farm was earlier
strict build up around an axis from the farm to the staircase.
Actual this axis continued over the lake and into the forest on the
Inderø. You can from the bench still se that there has been made a
trail into the forest up of the cliff.
The cache is a film case with a logbook
