Humlehuset har altid hørt til Hald Hovedgård. Navnet skyldes
formentlig, at man her dyrkede humlen til den øl man drak på
hovedgården.
I dag bruges huset af søens meget aktive bådlaug, som bl.a. står
for miljøvenlig vedligeholdelse af flere af søens tilløb.
Der er ikke indlagt hverken el eller vand. Lys får man stadig fra
petroleums lamper og vand medbringes. Tidlige hentede man vandet
ved en håndpumpe i slugten nord for huset.
Er der biler parkeret på P-pladsen eller oppe ved huset og røg i
skorstenen, kan du roligt gå op og hilse på, og se hvordan en hel
familie med mange børn og husdyr, i gamle dage, kunne klare sig med
meget lidt plads. Brug bagdøren.

"Humlehuset" has always
belonged to "Hald Hovedgård". The name presumably is because they
here grow the hop for that beer they drank at the manor.
To day the house is used by the very active boat guild, who
among other things stands for environment friendly maintains of
several of the lakes flows.
There is no Electricity or water installed in the house.
Light still comes from oil lamps and water is brought alone.
Earlier the water was pumped up, with a hand pump placed in the
ravine on the north site of the house.
If there are cars on the parking place or at the house, and
smoke from the pipe, you are welcome to go up and say hallo, and
see how a family normally with many kids and domestic animals,
could handle a life in such a small place. Please use
the back door.
