Geocache Description:

COOKIES CRUMBLE CACHE. It has been a long winter and we are finally getting to our 'promise' of placing this cache within 30 days after the Cookies Crumble Event in Dec 2007. This is a 1 quart lock'n'lock container filled with great geo swag. This cache was a donation to the C.C.E. raffle by loande. (Thanks you loande). This cache is located in the Lang Station State Forest. A great area with other caches nearby. Bring a fishing pole, pack some sandwiches and make a day of it.

The Lang Station State Forest is located in New Boston and covers 226.3 acres. This four mile trail stretches from the Hillsborough County 4-H Fairgrounds in New Boston to the Goffstown line. The trail is part of the original bed for the Boston and Maine Railroad, which was abandoned in the mid 1970's. The land was later acquired by the Town of New Boston and the New Hampshire Land Conservation Investment Program. The trail parallels the South Branch of the Piscataquog River. The trail offers hikers, bicyclists, cross country skiers, snow-shoers, equestrians, fishermen, bird watchers and others the opportunity to observe the river and wildlife. This trail also connects with footpaths and horsetrails in Lang Station State Forest. Two points of interest on the trail are the Lang Station built by the railroad to shelter waiting passengers and the footbridge that connects the trail segments. This is an easy walking trail for younger children. Parking is at the Lang Station on Gregg Mill Road or at the 4-H County Fairgrounds. Visitors may access the trail at Lang Station, Parker Station or the Fairgrounds. The area should be familiar to many who have located our first cache that we adopted, On the Right Track, and our first attempt at placing a multi, On the Right Track 2. Believe it or not the trail to this cache as of 4/22/08 is still covered in about 1 foot of snow!!!! Today should hit the low 80's ! It was really weird walking on snow in such beautiful weather. This hide is not difficult so no hint should be needed. The cache is a short bushwack from trail on level ground.
