The Sevilla Jones story is a tragic tale. Sevilla was 17 years old when she was murdered by her rejected boyfriend, Henry Sargent. In a letter he wrote about his murder plans, he felt others had turned her against him. He accosted her on a remote wooded road near Joe English Hill and killed her and then himself. He was sure she loved him as much as he loved her and requested they be buried together in this cemetery. They were put together in the Town Tomb but only until Spring when they were buried about 800 feet apart in their family plots.
Sevilla's gravestone reads:
"Thus fell this lovely blooming daughter by the revengeful hand, a malicious Henry when on her way to school he met her and with six cocked pistol shot her"

N 42 58.--- = age George died + 395
W 071 41.--- =Age Plummer died + age Sarah died + 244
