This tree reminded us of a Saguaro Cactus
This tree is really big! It looks to me like it is right up there with the old growth redwoods in Big Basin State Park.
I didn't put the cache right next to the tree, but a short distance away. The cache is a small geocaching lock-n-lock container, a few paces off the trail on the uphill side. You do not have to go up the steep bank to reach the cache.
Since the trees wreak havoc with the satellite signals I made the hint a spoiler.
