This cache is located on publicly accessible crown land, managed as
a PFRA. There is
no gate at the starting coordinates. From the posted coordinates,
you will need to navigate a barbed wire fence. There
is a gate 1 mile south of the parking coordinates.
Watch for wildlife and livestock, as both may be present in the
area.
This cache can only be reached by following the breadcrumb trail
of reflectors. There are 4 waypoints marked with red reflective
material along the way, including the starting coordinates and
final destination. The breadcrumbs themselves are white reflective
material. At each reflective marker, a new reflector should become
visible.
At time of placing the cache, this was the case. If not,
continue a short distance (meters), continuing in the general
direction of the trail. Depending upon vegetation and mitigating
circumstances, this may vary. With the white markers, you
will always be guided to continue in the same general
direction.
The red markers indicate a significant
change in direction. Pause at each and do a good sweep with your
lights and you should easily get your new bearing.
NOTE:
You will only need to cross a fence to begin. If you find yourself
climbing over or under a fence at any other point, you are headed
in the wrong direction!
Warning:
You will need to navigate a river bank in the dark. However, You do
NOT need to cross the river. (Oh yes, did I mention that
there is a river along the way?) It may be higher or lower
depending on the time of year. At the time of placing, it was a
very dry year. The river was very low BUT there were still many
deep places.
This cache should not be done alone. Take a friend.
Always make sure that someone else knows where you are
caching.
