This is the first in a series of caches
that I am planning to use to bring you to interesting locations
around town. All of these caches are the little, tiny,
sub-micro caches that attach with a magnet, so keep that in mind
as you are hunting.
I always loved this church. When I was a kid, I first saw it as
we were driving down Westheimer on the way back from one of my
little league game. Since then, I always look for the steeple
whenever I am around this part of town.
I am always attracted to the simplicity and un-pretentious
nature of the building. But every time I come here I find new
architectural details The location is very nice too, tucked into a
quiet little niche in a busy part of town. The grass always seems
to be a green here and the sun always seems a little softer here
than in other parts of Houston.
The easiest way to get here is to park in the parking lot of the
office building immediately to the south of the church and then
walk over. This may present a problem at certain times as much of
the parking is reserved. You can check out the times for the church
services here.
You may want to avoid the area before, during and after services as
there are likely to be a lot of folks wandering around all dressed
up
Enjoy the spot and the cache.
