Russian Hide



Høsten 1942 rømte noen russiske krigsfanger fra en fangetransport med jernbane gjennom Stange. De fleste ble fanget inn igjen, men to av dem ble holdt skjult i ei hule ei tid før de kunne komme videre. Denne hula har i ettertid blitt kalt Russerhula. Det ble samlet inn mat og klær til dem. Kristoffer Hansen og sønnen Magne fulgte russerne over til Odalen der andre tok over den videre losingen til Sverige. Saken ble rullet opp i løpet av våren 1943, og en rekke personer ble arrestert og sendt til konsentrasjonsleire i Tyskland. Flere av dem døde der, og blant disse var Kristoffer Hansen.

Cachen har også gjemt seg i en hule.

In the Fall of 1942, some Russian war prisoners escaped from a transport going through Stange. Most of them were captured again but two of them were hiding in a cave before they could continue. This cave later was called 'Russerhula". People around the area gave them food and clothes. Kristoffer Hansen and his son Magne followed the Russians to Odalen where others took them onward to Sweden. The case became known during the Spring of 1943 and several people got arrested and eventually went to concentration camps in Germany. More of them died there including Kristoffer Hansen.
