The Lower Ironwood Trail
Drive to Hammond River Park on Reynar Drive in Quispamsis. Go to the Log Cabin (N45 29.227, w065 54.737. Follow the Central Trail to Ironwood Trail. Hike down to the Lower Ironwood Trail.
This cache was created and placed by the Outdoor Pursuits students of Saint John High School. Students did research on local watersheds and pamphlets were prepared describing them. It is part of a pilot project, "Geocache Your Watershed", being conducted by four schools across Canada. Through this initiative, High School Students will learn about their watershed and experience their own outdoor discovery of its unique features.
The Hammond River Watershed is a sub-watershed of the Saint John River Watershed.
