Geocache Description:

Cinco Ranch Song Series #2 - Dash Rip Rock

Cinco Ranch Song Series

This series has two agendas...

First, to show a nice walk/bike trail in the west end of Cinco Ranch. This trail is new, and the vegetation is not fully grown, and there are some spots I have planned, I can't put out yet due to construction.

Second, to share some of my favorite songs.

For the most part, Houston radio stations don't play the music I listen to. I find most people who listen to these songs have a similar reaction... And that is: Hey, Where did you find this music, its great! So this is my effort to share with as many people as possible.

Dash Rip Rock: Johnny Ace

Dash Rip Rock is a band that's been around more than 20 years, and is the best band you've never heard of. They started out in the 80's as a frat party band in Louisiana. They've had various drummers and bass players, but the lead has remained Bill Davis. One of the early rock/punk bands, they've never formally "made it", but instead have toured year after year on a GREAT live show.
This song is about a Blues artist who on Christmas Eve, commit suicide in Houston.

Congrats to cook cachers for FTF!
