La muntanya de Montserrat és troba
entre les comarques de l'Anoia, el Bages i el Baix Llobregat.
És segons la tradició, la muntanya més important i
misteriosa de Catalunya. En aquesta sèrie de catxés,
"Racons de Montserrat", us volem mostrar diferents indrets de la
muntanya, alguns de ben coneguts i d'altres que no ho són
tant.
L'Albarda
Castellana
Amb els seus 1167 m (hi ha diversitat d'opinions entre 1167
i 1180 m), és el cim més alt de la comarca del Baix
Llobregat. El proper cim de Sant Jeroni resta popularitat
al cim de l'albarda. Això, però, és un gran atractiu
per anar-hi, ja que gairebé ens garanteix poder estat sols en
el cim.
Per
arribar-hi, des del Pla de les Taràntules
(baixador superior del funicular de Sant Joan), agafem l'anomenat
Camí nou de Sant Jeroni. Seguim el
camí com si anéssim a Sant Jeroni, fins al
waypoint N 41º 36.147 E 001º 48.798, on
agafarem el corriol a l'esquerra, amb marques blaves i grogues.
Aquest corriol, molt costerut, ens duu en un parell de minuts fins
al coll de l'Albarda. Des del coll seguim les marques grogues i
blaves, i, mitjançant un flanqueig, on ens ajudem de les mans,
pugem fins un petit collet sota mateix del cim. Aquí ens
trobem amb un grau rocallós d'uns 2 metres d'alçada
(IIº), que superem amb fàcil grimpada. Ara ja tan sols
ens manca caminar fins al cim, senyalitzat amb una fita feta de
còdols.*

Montserrat mountain is located among
Anoia, Bages and Baix Llobregat counties. It is said to be the most
important and misterious mountain of Catalonia. In this cache
series, "Racons de Montserrat", we want to show you some spots of
the mountain, some of them well-known and others
not.
L'Albarda Castellana
With 1167 m (there is somebody who says it's 1180 m), it's
the higuest peak of the Baix Llobregat county. The near peak
of Sant Jeroni minimizes popularity to Albarda's peak. However,
this is an attraction to go there, since it's almost guaranteed to
be alone in the summit.
To arrive there, from "Pla de les Taràntules" (Sant
Joan funicular higuest stop), we take the "Cami nou de Sant
Jeroni" path. We follow the path as if we were going to Sant
Jeroni, until N 41º 36.147 E 001º 48.798 waypoint,
where we take the little path on the left, with blue and yellow
marks. This little path, a very steep slope, takes us in a couple
of minutes to Albarda's pass. From here, we follow the blue and
yellow marks, and, by means of a flank, where we use our hands, we
climb until a little pass under the summit. Here we find a small
wall, about 2 meters high (IIº), that we overcome without
dificulties. Now, we only have to walk to the peak, marked with a
pile of
rocks.*
