I checked and the cache is NOT at the posted coordinates-I think
I messed up.
I have found a number of caches where the cache name and
coordinates weren’t written on the cache container or on the log
book, and I think I’ve just done that as well. When I placed this
cache I tried to be careful recording the data but apparently I did
something very wrong and the notes I took on the coordinates don’t
make any sense, even to me. Perhaps some local cacher will help
solve this mix up so I can go back and properly label this
cache.
If it helps any, I wrote down the number 6835041264 but it isn’t
UTM, or a phone number with area code, so I’m at a complete loss. I
had carefully jotted that number down on a piece of scrap paper
directly below the cache title so it must be linked to the cache
and not just my odometer reading from all the caching I’ve done, or
a megabucks number.
Please help me solve this, but don’t embarrass me by posting any
details of what I did in your log, no matter how obtuse, or I will
have to delete your log immediately. Thanks for understanding.
If you visit the cache in summer, observe what makes this
somewhat common spot rather interesting, but don’t mention it in
your log. This cache may not be available in winter if we have
another one like we just had. Parking nearby may also be a problem
in winter. The cache container is a 13.5 ounce Lock and Lock type
rectangular container and its location should be obvious when you
get to the cache site.
