Tato keš vás zavede k jedné z pekných vyhlídek na Karlovy Vary.
Na vrcholu stojí tri velké drevené kríže, které byly postaveny okolo roku 1640 jako symbol úspešné rekatolizace mesta. Podle povesti však byly vztyceny na památku trí zavraždených bratru, kterí na hore chteli postavit hotel.
U Trí krížu stávala restaurace a altán Camera obscura, který byl koncem roku 1997 opet vystaven. Vrch byl v 19. století jedním z nejnavštevovanejších míst v okolí.
Od reky Teplé na vrch Tri kríže mela vést lanovka. Se stavbou se zacalo v roce 1913, díky vypuknutí I.sv. války byla stavba v roce 1914 pozastavena a následne, kvuli financním problémum, se na stavbe prestalo pracovat úplne. Betonový žlab a základy konecné stanice jsou dosud velmi dobre patrné (najdete 100m od keše na azimutu cca 45°).
Jde o celkem dost navštevované místo, dejte prosím pozor na mudly s pudly.
Hügel Drei Kreuze (Tri kríže)
Dieser Cache führt Sie zu einem Platz mit einer schönen Aussicht auf Karlsbad.
An der Spitze stehen drei große Holzkreuze, die gegen 1640 als das Symbol einer erfolgreichen Rekatholisierung der Stadt aufgestellt wurden. Einer Sage nach wurden sie jedoch zum Gedenken an drei ermordete Brüder, die auf dem Berg ein Hotel bauen wollten, errichtet.
Bei den Drei Kreuzen stand ein Restaurant und der Altan Camera obscura, der Ende 1997 wieder aufgebaut wurde. Der Hügel war im 19. Jahrhundert eine der am meisten besuchten Stellen in der Umgebung.
Vom Fluss Teplá bis zur Spitze des Hügels Drei Kreuze sollte eine Seilbahn führen. Mit dem Bau wurde 1913 begonnen, aufgrund des Ausbruchs des I. Weltkrieges 1914 wurde der Bau jedoch unterbrochen und anschließend, wegen finanzieller Probleme, wurden die Bauarbeiten vollständig eingestellt.
Eine Betonrinne und die Fundamente der Endstation sind bis heute sehr gut ersichtlich (zu finden 150 m vom Cache mit einem Azimut von ca. 45°).
A hill known as “Three Crosses” (Tri kríže)
The cache shall take you to one of the nice lookouts over Karlovy Vary.
There are three big wood crosses built on the top originated from the year 1640 as a symbol of the town successful Recatholization. As the story says, they have been put up in memory of three murdered brothers who wanted to build a hotel on the top of this hill.
The restaurant called “At Three Crosses” used to be there as well as the gazebo “Camera Obscura” rebuilt at the end of 1997. In the 19th century, the hill was one of the most visited places in the surrounding area.
A cable way had been planned from “Teplá” river to the Three Cross hill. Its construction was launched in 1913 but because of the First Holy War, it was interrupted in 1914 and shortly thereafter cancelled completely due to a lack of funds.
The concrete channel and foundation of the terminus are yet very clear (you can find them 100 meters from the cache at azimuth 45° approx.).
