The cache is near a paved walking trail on the South side of Hatfield Lake.

There is a sheltered picnic table overlooking the lake where you can relax and watch different varieties of ducks, geese, eagles and shore birds. In the past this was a great spot to watch yellow headed black birds, but recent road construction work and park improvements have caused the birds to relocate. Let's hope that someday they'll return to this area.
