Lørdag den 24 maj blev det nye torv i Bellinge
indviet.
Kunstneren Søren West har lavet et meget smukt anlæg, med
skulpturen ”Bellingeporten”
Skulpturen har idemæssigt et dobbelt afsæt, dels inddrages det
arkæologiske klenodium ”Bellingenøglen” og dels bruger kunstneren
passage-funktionen i den symbolske port imellem torvet og det
rekreative område med legeplads og grønne arealer bag torvet.
Portens største søjle er på 3.7 m og skulpturen er lavet i
granit fra Bornholm og fra Norge. Kopien af ”Bellingenøglen” har en
længde på 40 cm og støbt i bronze

inaugurated
The artist Søren West has made a beautiful new square in
Bellinge including the sculpture “The Bellingegate”
The sculpture is made out of two ideas, one is the “Bellinge
Key” from the viking age and the other is to use the passage-
function in the symbolic gate between the square and the
recreative area with play ground and green area behind the
square.
