Geocache Description:

Bring a rock from home. This is a memorial to those who's lives were affected by the tragic events of September 11th.

This cache is all about leaving something. Bring a rock from home, decorate it, or have your kids decorate it, it will be your log. The idea was thought up as we pondered cancelling our trip to Mt. Washington a few days after the tragedy. We decided to go as we felt it important to be with friends, besides, we had planned a really cool event. we drove our Xterras up the mountain to watch the sunset, then planted the cache in the afterglow, then drove back down the mountain in the dark. A surreal experience.

Please, our goal is to watch our small rockpile grow into a great monument to this tragedy. Think of it as a rebuilding. Bring a rock, hike or drive up, and leave it at the site. Take nothing. Well, take with you a sense of pride and unity. Read the other rocks. I hope to come back next year to an entirely different site...PLEASE, DO NOT BRING AMERICAN FLAGS AND OTHER STUFF. BRING A ROCK. BE IT PAINTED

This cache is reachable by car (2 steps away, actually) and also by foot (at the end of the Tuckerman's Ravine trail) Bring a rock that looks out of place. most of the rocks up there are lichen covered, a painted rock should look a bit out of place.

Good luck, and God bless.
