I 2005 vart det bygd veg mellom Hopland og Hennebygda. Dermed vart
"Panoramavegen" frå Faleide til Lote ferdigstilt og både
lokalfolket og turistar fekk nye kommunikasjonsalternativ. Den
komplette vegstrekninga hadde vore på planleggingsstadiet sidan
1916, så det var ikkje for tidleg at den 5 km lange stubben vart
gjort ferdig.
Området rundt "Kvalen" er flott turterreng og har fin utsikt over
Nordfjorden og bygdene Hopland og Hennebygda. Området ligg i
innflygingslinja mot småflyplassen på Anda i Gloppen så sjå opp for
nedadstigande Dash 8. Frå "Kvalen" er det ca 25 min austover til
Stryn og ca 25 min vestover til Nordfjordeid.
Boksen ligg lett tilgjengeleg, ca 5 min gange frå
parkeringsplass i skrått terreng med enkelte våte parti.

The cache is placed at "Kvalen", a ridge between the Hopland and
Hennebygda villages.
The road between Hopland and Hennebygda was completed in 2005.
With that the last piece of "The Panorama Road" was finished and
locals and tourists alike now have new and exciting communications
alternatives. The completion of this road had been planned since
1916, so it was about time that the 5 km long stretch was
built.
The area around "Kvalen" is well suited for hiking and give a nice
view of Hopland, Hennebygda and the Nordfjord. It is in the general
flight path for the Anda airfield, so look out for descending Dash
8s. From "Kvalen" it is about 25 min drive eastward to Stryn and
about 25 min westward to Nordfjordeid.
The cache is easily accessible, 5 min walk from the parking
place in sloped terrain with some wet areas.
