TEN is named for the tenth puzzle cache I have placed.
The real name should be CHOOSE WISELY!
But, I didn't know that when I placed the cache
within a mile of the above coordinates.
Bring a pencil, it is a cammo nitromicro hiding under a...maybe I
have said enough.
It is really frustrating to try to create a
puzzle for a cache, going over the details time and time again to
minimize what is said and maximize the confusion and get the puzzle
to work so people can find the cache. Only to find out you did
something wrong when someone calls you to explain where you blew
it. So in order to prevent that, this time I decided to put
all that work on you, the seeker. Here is a list of things for you
to do to figure out the location of the cache and you will have to
choose that which makes the solution.
For the first number, in the paragraph below select a word from
the first three lines. Then skip as many words as there are letters
in your chosen word. For example, if you picked the fourth word
‘Course’ you would skip 6 words to end up on the word
‘for’. Repeat this process until you land on the last
word you possibly can in the paragraph.
Now, pick a word to start with.
When in the Course of human Events, it
becomes necessary
for one People to dissolve the Political Bands which have
connected
them with another, and to assume, among the Powers of the
Earth,
the separate and equal Station to which the Laws of Nature and
of
Nature’s God entitle them, a descent Respect to the Opinions
of
Mankind requires that they should declare the causes which
impel
them to the Separation.
The number of letters in the last word you
land on = M
The number of words after the last word you land on = N
Next, think of any number from 1 through
100. Write down its name. Count the number of letters to obtain the
second number. Count the number of letters in the second number to
obtain a third number. Continue in this way until the chain of
numbers ends on a number that keeps repeating.
The repeating number = O
Now, enter 999,999 into your calculator,
divide it by seven. This is your working number. Now, pick a number
between 1 and 6 (or roll a die) and multiply the working number by
this number. Rearrange the digits in your answer from highest to
lowest. These become your next digits.
The highest number = P, the next highest = Q,
the next = R, the next = S
Continue this way for as many digits as you have.
Next choose any number, add 5 to it, double
the result, subtract 4, divide that number by 2, then subtract the
number you started with.
The result = W
For the last number, multiply your phone
number (just 7 digits without the area code) by 8 then write down
those three numbers. (Your phone number,8, and the product of your
phone number times 8). Add up all the individual digits of these
three numbers. If the sum is more than one digit, take that sum and
add up its digits. Continue adding up digits until only one digit
is left.
The final digit = X
Finally, the formulas below will give you
the cords.
XxP+OxX+U° NxR/T . QxRxW+SxR+X+U
MxN+P-Q° MxQ-WxU . OxPxTxX+OxP-U
There it is, it is all up to you now.
You even get to decide where the ('s & )'s go
too!
CHOOSE WISELY
