Located off Mastin Dr.You can park before the bridge on the right. The old road has a cement barrier blocking it. This is an old access road for the water department. As you walk up this somewhat over grown road at the upper end you will be passing what was the Old Gazda Farm on the right. When I lived there from 1958 to 1964 this area was my playground.
This is a cache in my Chinese Elements series to celebrate my upcoming trip to China in September. The series starts in Haverhill, Ma where I currently live. I ran out of room there so thought of this spot which has some history that many people may not know.
In the early sixties I would go to the old race track and watch the sulky practices and the old wooden grand stand was still there, now it is a housing development on the other side of the bridge.Contains a retractable name tag, 3 brass pieces, key carabiner, a few foreign coins, and a coke carabiner.
