Slate Island Cove is a scenic stop on the way to the Great Wass Island Preserve.
Slate Island Cove is "just" another of those great secluded spots along the Maine coast. Unbelievably photographic! Please do not venture beyond the stones as it is private property and the bank is steep and unforgiving.
Great Wass Island Preserve is another half mile South on this road where you will find parking and trails to the water's edge and outstanding views.
