Geocache Description:

First cache in Norton Vermont

The cache is now back at the 45th parallel and there is a new sign. Look for some granite stones that used to support the old sign. Not winter friendly. All the road work is done so returing to the initial location.

There is parking about 500 feet even farther north at the general store or just pull off on the side of the road

After you find this cache, you can try an interesting thing. Which is actually closer, the equator or the North Pole. Plug in 90 degrees and any longitude (or for my garmin it would only take 89 deg 59.999 minutes) and see how far away it is. Then try it with 0 degrees (and the current longitude). You will see that the earth is not exactly round.
