Ellie's woodland walk is located on Route 109 East, across from Clow's Beach. This land was given to the Town of Wolfeboro by Eloise Linscott (1897-1978).
Park on Meadow Lane which is the next street down from Ellie Woodland Walk sign.
The foot bridge and boardwalk has been repaired this year by the Wolfeboro Conservation Commission. Its a quiet spot located on Ryefield Marsh and I encourage everyone to walk to the end of the boardwalk to the viewing area and sit a few minutes on the bench and look about. There is beaver activity around and birds in the air.
AFTER CROSSING THE BRIDGE BEWARE OF THE ANIMAL HOLE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE TRAIL.
The container is a green cylinder 6 inches long and 2 inches around and contains what I call glass gumdrops.
