Oh Dr Beeching! This station is the end of the Battlefield line and steam trains run to Shackerstone from here. The line and station are a reminder of rail travel 40+ years ago. Nice area for a day out with Bosworth battlefield and Ashby canal being within easy walking distance.

November 8 by larrywood (18 found) Watching Mrs L looking for this cache while I looked after the dog was the high light of my day. In the end me, Mrs L and the dog had to look for the cache. Nice hide. TNLN TFTC [view this log]

October 25 by spitefire (19 found) After an unthrilling and rather boring trip on the diesel (we missed steam day) we arrived at GZ. Realising we were close, I managed to make quick getaway from Alice Band and worked my way up the embankment. I realised I'd gone too far, slipped back down the embankment and managed to bag the cache, to Alice Band's disgust [view this log]

October 25 by Alice Band (384 found) On a day out on the railways with Spitfire, we stepped off the train (no steam that day - what a shame) and walked up to the cache location. Suddenly Spitefire who realised we were close to GZ leaped gazelle-like up the embankment and was rooting around for the cache while I was still scrambling my way up. Naturally he found it before I did and triumphantly showed me the cache while I was trying not to slip back down the muddy side of the embankment...! [view this log]
